Sophia Scoboria recently made her college choice, which is newsworthy. That she is an Exeter water polo player makes it even more so.
Scoboria will be the first player from the young program to play at the collegiate level, competing for Villanova University.
Scoboria has been playing water polo since she was 10 and was along for the ride as Exeter began its program.
"I am proud to say that I helped start Exeter's first-ever water polo team," Scoboria said of the Eagles, who officially became a varsity team in 2016-17.
Scoboria had 118 goals and 72 assists in two seasons. She was team captain both years and was voted the team MVP as a senior.
