Exeter Girls Volleyball makes quick work of Cedar Crest, on to next round of District 3 playoffs Tuesday vs. Manheim Township, 6p @ Wilson HS..
In the later match at New Holland, Exeter made easy work of Cedar Crest.
The Eagles will face Manheim Township in the quarterfinals, site and time to be announced. (@ Wilson HS, 6pm Tuesday...)
"Our confidence level is very high," Exeter junior Alexis Schwenk said. "We just gel very well together. We are having fun with it."
Losing the first point of each set didn't matter for the Eagles (17-0).
After quickly retaking the lead, Exeter used its depth and some surprising net play to put away the Falcons (9-8).
Junior Thressia Nixon and freshman Drew Kofke combined for multiple blocks against Cedar Crest's biggest hitters.
The offense was led by Emily Hangen with 10 kills. Kofke had nine and Nixon had six as Schwenk had 26 assists.
